Well…. eventually I worked out that yes I did want to know, and that the swallowed exception actually was a pain, and that including ots-jts_1.0.jar removes the warning, and making the application work….
As bad as stack traces can be, the above behaviour is worse, and much much harder to trace. Some developers deserve to be shot…. or at least taken to a room and shaken around.
